Coach Gibbons has been coaching on Staten Island for the last 18 years. He has coached at all levels - interclub, high school and United States Swimming. At the United States Swimming level he has coached all ages from 12 and unders to High School swimmers.
Coach Gibbons began his USA Swimming coaching career as a 12 and under coach at Staten Island Aquatics. He then moved to Wagner Aquatics Club where he became an Asst. Senior Coach of the high school age athletes. He has helped swimmers reach High School States, Zones, Senior Mets, and most recently Sectionals.
At the high school level, he has led the St. Peter's Boys High School team to three divisional championships ('96,'04 and '09) and this year were crowned Staten Island Champs for the third year in a row ('08, '09 and'10).
In addition to being the head coach of Richmond Aquatics Club @ the JCC, Coach Gibbons is a full time History Department Chair, teacher, assistant dean and the head swim coach at St. Peter's Boys High School. He has a an undergraduate degree in History, a Masters in Secondary Education and Social Studies and a Masters in School Administration.
Coach Gibbons' coaching philosophy is simple, "You take each swimmer where they are and do everything possible to make them better. Through hard work and dedication -- anything is possible."

Brendan is in his 2nd full season as the lead coach for senior group 2 at the Richmond Aquatics Club. Brendan also completed his 2nd season as head swimming and diving coach at Msgr. Farrell High School, where he has been coaching since 2006 as an assistant. Brendan has been coaching swimmers of all ages on Staten Island for 8 years. Starting at the Great Kills Swim Club in 2003 Brendan has coached swimmers from age 5 to 18. He also guided swimmers to USA swimming metropolitan JO and Zone qualification times while coaching as a lead junior team coach with the Wagner Aquatics Club.
Quest is a 2007 graduate of St. Francis College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. He is currently working on his Masters of Science ED in Physical Education with a concentration in coaching at SUNY Cortland.
As an athlete Brendan was part of the SUNY Cortland Swimming & Diving team, where he helped the team to 3 consecutive top 3 finishes at conference championships. Brendan finished his career at SUNY Cortland with a 4th place at the SUNYAC Conference Championships in the 100yd butterfly. While at Msgr. Farrell Quest amassed numerous finals appearances at CHSAA Championships, capping off his senior season with swims as a member of the 1st place 200yd medley relay, 2nd place 50yd freestyle, 3rd place 100yd butterfly, and 3rd place school record 200yd freestyle relay. A four year varsity swimmer Quest was a captain his senior season, also garnering an Advance All-Star selection.

Christine was part of the undefeated championship swim team at Notre Dame Academy from 1991-1995. Christine has two years experience coaching Sacred Heart in the Catholic Grammar School League throughout high school. She then moved onto coaching the 8&Under USA Swimming Team at Staten Island Aquatics from 1996-2000. Christine then took a break and worked in various aspects of social services before returning to swimming to coach the Junior Teams with Richmond Aquatics at the JCC in 2008.

Mark is entering his seventh season swimming. He is an active member of Richmond Aquatics Club. Mark swam for four years at St. Peter's High School under coach Gibbons. During his senior year, as team captain, he helped lead the Eagles to captured their first Staten Island Championship crown in the school's history. He went on to compete with St. Francis College. He now competes triathalons.
